MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE OFFICER / SUPERVISOR FOR KAOLIN PROCESSING FACTORY

TAMBANG RAYA MINERAL SDN BHD – Chemor, Perak

We are a leading kaolin processing company, seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer specialized in mechanical maintenance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our processing plant by maintaining critical equipment in a dynamic industrial environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on plant equipment, including crushers, grinders, conveyors, pumps, dryers, separators, and other processing machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, repair or replace defective parts, and minimize downtime to support continuous production.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, alignment, and testing of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in a processing plant setting.
• Assist in implementing improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience (at least 3–5 years) as a mechanical maintenance technician or officer in a factory, processing plant, mining, or heavy industrial environment (experience in mineral processing or similar is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, belts, and welding.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Minimum SPM qualification required. A technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field will be an advantage. Trade qualifications are welcome.
• Physical fitness to work in a plant environment, including lifting, climbing, and working in dusty conditions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
