Job summary

A global energy consultancy is seeking an experienced M&P Supervisor for a Biofuel project in Malaysia. You will oversee the construction and installation of mechanical and piping systems, ensuring compliance with design requirements. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in greenfield refinery projects and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with safety procedures and engineering drawings is essential. This role presents an opportunity to contribute significantly to project success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in greenfield refinery projects.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs and specifications.

Overview

Connect Energy partners with an engineering consultancy to look for M&P Supervisor to work on a Biofuel project in Malaysia.

The M&P Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the construction, installation of mechanical and piping systems within the construction phase.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule work activities including manpower, equipment and material allocations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and piping installations to ensure compliance to design requirements.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedure and regulations to maintain safe work environment
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and develop solutions to keep project on schedule and within budget
  • Work closely with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and tools required for mechanical and piping activities
  • Maintain reports and submit to project managers for review on regular basis.
  • Involve in project meetings, provide status updates and contribute to project planning and decision making processes.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Min. 10 years working experience in greenfield refinery projects
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and/ or have worked on PMT roles will be an advantage
  • Familiar with mechanical systems, piping systems, related equipment, such as pimps valves, heat exchangers and pressure vessels
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs and specifications
  • Strong understanding on safety procedures
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English is a must. Able to speak Mandarin an advantage
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, project management software.
  • Able to start work within short notice an advantage
