Job summary

Our client is a European based company, provider of fully integrated electronic and mechatronic design and manufacturing solutions in Penang. They are looking for candidate with experience in leading negotiations with suppliers and drive cost savings in RFQ stage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal packages, focusing on achieving the best pricing, favorable terms, and high service levels.
  • Actively participate in RFQ processes for new projects, driving cost savings through strategic pricing agreements while upholding quality standards.
  • Prioritize engagement with localized suppliers to leverage geographical proximity, enhancing negotiation outcomes and streamlining delivery logistics.
  • Collaborate with procurement engineers to evaluate and present alternative sourcing proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Manage First Article Inspection (FAI) sample submissions for customized parts, supporting product qualification and compliance.
  • Play a key role in onboarding new suppliers, contributing to account setup and qualification processes to meet organizational standards.
  • Apply a strategic approach to supply allocation for new projects, considering total cost of ownership, availability, and quality benchmarks.
  • Fostered long-term supplier relationships, maintaining regular communication to stay informed on market trends and ensure mutual growth.
  • Participate in quarterly price reviews for existing parts, supporting project goals through proactive negotiation and cost analysis.
Job Requirements
