Job summary

A leading automotive supplier is seeking a Material Planning Control professional in Kulai, Malaysia. The candidate will be responsible for establishing production plans, liaising with production and purchasing departments, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The ideal applicant has at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing PMC, strong coordination and communication skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. This role offers working hours from Mon-Fri, 8am-5.30pm, and a salary up to RM7000.

Qualifications

To strengthen its global presence, the company is establishing a new plant in Senai, Malaysia. With continuous investment in R&D, our client delivers high-quality, efficient, and innovative products while striving for industry leadership and excellence in service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for establishing Production Plans based on Customer PO to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.
  • Responsible for establishing raw material requirements based on the Production Plan and raising purchase requisition.
  • Liaise with the Production on the requirements of production, and labor availability and keep track of production performance with the Production Plan.
  • Liaise with the Purchasing Department to ensure the required materials are purchased on time.
  • To liaise with the Production to ensure machinery are available for Production.
  • Trigger Purchase Request when stock reaches the re-order level and follow up closely with suppliers
  • Monitor and ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) performance for suppliers
  • Responsible to maintain proper record of activities, including timing tracking of deliveries, receipts documentation.
  • Answers and/or resolves inventory questions from various departments and customers.
  • Support relevant ad hoc tasks as required by management.
  • Close collaboration with suppliers, customers to pull in and push out material delivery arrangement and improve supplier delivery commits or production capacity.
  • Oversee shipping schedules and work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely product delivery and cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Manufacturing PMC (Production, Material, and Control).
  • Familiarity with ERP operations preferred, especially experience in automotive industry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with inventory management, warehousing, and distribution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software usage.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, able to handle situations calmly and decisively.
  • Strong customer service orientation, clear thinking, a strong willingness, and the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.
  • Able to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in automotive parts logistics or similar high-demand manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of free trade zone regulations in Malaysia and incentives for exporting to Europe and North America is a plus.
  • Prior experience with logistics in a multinational environment, handling shipments to international markets.

Working hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5.30pm
Salary: Up to RM7000
