Job summary

A leading cinema chain in Malaysia seeks a Marketing Professional to enhance film marketability and profitability. This role involves developing strategies, managing online platforms, and sustaining relationships with key media partners. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related fields and 3–4 years of relevant experience in entertainment marketing are required. Strong knowledge of Asian and Anime films will be advantageous. The position offers a dynamic and creative work environment, contributing to team efforts in achieving financial objectives.

Improves Film Marketability and Profitability for Chinese, Asian & Anime Portfolio

Identify content of the film and target customer of the film.

Develop a strategy to maximise the potential of the film.

Explore new market and anticipate new opportunities.

Improve film's marketability and exposure through tie-ups and sponsorships, monitor of progress against target and to change course of action based on results of the film.

Manage Online and Social Media Platforms

Manage official website via CMS.

Liaise with digital agency on digital content for social media.

Assist in content creation and video edits where required.

Monitor and implement digital content and campaigns.

Sustain Rapport with Media and Key Partners

Make periodic visits and anticipate changes in personnel.

Explore new opportunities to work together.

Provide constantly information and materials of films to all media and key partners. i.e., cinema exhibitors, sponsors & promo partners.

Organise, plan and coordinate ground events with all related parties.

Anticipate break-down and draw-up contingency plans to meet such break-down.

Achieve Financial Objectives and Prepares Report.

Prepare and manage event budget.

Verify invoices to budget for approval and payment.

Prepare and analyse reports where required.

Contributes to Team Effort

Accomplish results as needed.

🎯 What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Broadcasting, or a related field.

At least 3–4 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in entertainment, media, or film-related industries.

Strong interest in theatrical film marketing, with good knowledge of Chinese, Asian, and Anime titles will be an added advantage.

Hands‑on experience liaising with vendors for event and activation execution.

Ability to manage multiple campaigns and timelines simultaneously.
