Job summary

A leading commodities firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Marketing Executive to assist in operation monitoring and coordinate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will hold a degree or diploma in Business Management, possess 1-3 years of relevant experience, and have excellent numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, with strong communication and interpersonal skills being a significant advantage. This role is essential in ensuring effective procurement and shipment processes.

Job description
Marketing Executive (Commodities Division)

Assist in the operation monitoring of Musim Mas plants.

Coordinate with plants, traders, operations, Planning Department etc. to ensure feedstocks are planned adequately and procurement/ shipments will be timely.

Assist in the pricing of feedstocks between plants and ICOF/other parties (for non-palm).

Constantly identify and solve issues to minimize risk escalation that may require higher management’s intervention.

Track market information in both origins and destinations, specifically supply and demand situation, import/export duty structure, competitions to assist in making sound trading decision.

Maintain routine communications with all internal units internal to ensure efficient and effective information sharing.

Maintain good rapport with external parties to assist in the gathering of market information.

Assist in the preparation of routine market/trade reports or management reports.

Keep good book of trades and supporting pricing records for audit and compliance purpose.

Any other tasks as required from Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management/Commerce/Economics/Finance or equivalent academic qualifications.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience or from similar businesses.
  • Good in numerical, analytical, organizing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to digest complex business scenario and present it in simple business logic advantageous.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill, with experience in working with people of diverse background and ethnicity.
  • Good command of verbal and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia, proficiency in other languages will be added advantage.
