Position Overview

Based in Penang | Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM. Ideas International Penang is hiring! We are looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing and Communication Officer to join our team. This is a newly created, full-time position based on-site at the school.

As the Marketing and Communication Officer, you will work across both the Marketing & Communication and Student Admissions departments. You’ll play a key role in promoting the school’s image, attracting prospective students, and supporting admissions communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the school’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Take and curate photos that showcase school life and events
  • Coordinate the school’s presence at education fairs and public events related to student admissions
  • Support the admissions team by communicating with prospective families, following up on inquiries, organizing school visits, and assisting with enrolment documentation
  • Lead the production of the school newsletter and other internal and external publications
  • Collaborate closely with both the Admissions Manager and the Marketing Manager
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communication, or a related field
  • Prior experience in marketing or communication
  • Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, and major social media platforms
  • Excellent command of English and Mandarin (both spoken and written); knowledge of other languages will be an advantage
  • Experience in customer service or support is a strong advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a collaborative spirit
Contract Details
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract: 1-year full-time contract
  • Salary: RM 2,000–3,000
