Job description

This full‑time Manufacturing Assistant Manager position at ELTA FANS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Shah Alam, Selangor offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the company's manufacturing operations. As a Manufacturing Assistant Manager, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing process, ensuring that ELTA FANS MALAYSIA SDN. What you’ll be doing

• Oversees the entire manufacturing sections effectively to ensure orders are completed timely to our valuable customers. Importantly works are accomplished cost‑efficiently.
• Actively planning and reviewing work schedule to maintain high productivity output amongst manufacturing staff. Maintain good time‑motion data for the major product line.
• Timely responding to related parties on the new order lead time and order completion for jobs in our system.
• Ensure inventories are properly labelled and neatly stored within the work area for fast and accurate retrieval.
• Assists with planning and directing an efficient floor layout for equipment, assembly area with a good flow of materials.
• Ensure factory image and safety of staff and related resources are kept at utmost priority.
• All lifting equipment and tools within the assembly and fabrication area must be regularly maintained and a routine checklist must be in place.
• Hire, train and supervise manufacturing staff members. Check and confirm the accuracy of work performed by each section. Setting up related performance indicators for subordinates and reviewing them for further excellence.
• Analyze data to assess performance, discover any operational problems and devise plans for improvements.
• Fixing any potential safety hazards immediately to avoid injuries.
• Liaising among other departmental managers to resolve any inter‑departmental issues as well working as a team towards company goals and objectives.

What we’re looking for

• Relevant diploma/degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in HVAC manufacturing environment (fabrication/assembly) is essential.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.
• Knowledgeable in machine maintenance related (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, external vendors/suppliers.
• Good at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and having experience in sheet metal processes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
