A dynamic multinational organization in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Talent Management Manager to lead talent development initiatives and implement effective succession planning strategies. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience in Talent Management and strong stakeholder management skills. Responsibilities include managing development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving cultural change. Talent Management & Succession Planning:
Lead the execution of the annual Talent Review cycle, ensuring effective calibration, identification of High Potential (HiPo) talent, and career development discussions.
Maintain and update succession pipelines for critical roles within Shared Services and Group HR, ensuring a strong talent bench for key positions.
Manage and track Individual Development Plans (IDPs), integrating 70-20-10 development strategies to enhance leadership growth.
Support the refinement of competency models, integrating them into recruitment, performance management, and Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives.
Co-design and deliver leadership development programs for emerging and mid-level leaders, fostering a growth mindset and leadership excellence.
Champion internal mobility and cultivate a coaching culture to ensure continuous leadership pipeline development.
Manage external learning vendors, trainers, and consultants to support capability building across various leadership and talent programs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using pre- and post-program evaluations as well as stakeholder feedback.
Change and Culture Enablement:
Partner with key stakeholders to support organizational transformations, ensuring smooth communication, training, and change readiness across the business.
Drive engagement with key initiatives such as talent councils, diversity programs, and employee journeys, promoting an inclusive and feedback-driven culture.
Contribute ideas that sustain a culture of feedback, inclusion, and continuous learning across the organization.
Governance, Analytics & Reporting:
Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track key talent metrics, including succession bench strength, HiPo movement, and program effectiveness.
Ensure all talent management initiatives align with internal policies, governance, and external regulatory requirements.
Leverage psychometric assessments (e.g., Hogan) and other diagnostics to inform talent decisions and enhance leadership effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
At least 7–10 years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development (OD), or Learning & Development (L&D) roles.
Certification in psychometric profiling, coaching, or talent methodologies (e.g., Hogan, MBTI, Kirkpatrick) is a plus.
Experience in shared services, tech & digital, or matrix environments is highly desirable.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and influence senior leadership and employees at all levels.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead sessions from town halls to talent council meetings.
High attention to detail and a structured approach to program design, implementation, and evaluation.
Practical knowledge of organizational development tools, career frameworks, and learning interventions.
