The Manager, Strategic Projects & PMO is responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO). This role ensures the successful execution of the Group's most critical strategic initiatives, from store expansions to complex cross‑functional projects, by providing rigorous project management, governance, and reporting.
Plan, facilitate, and document the annual strategic planning workshops with senior leadership and the GCSIO.
Collaborate with the Manager, Business Intelligence & Innovation to ensure strategic plans are informed by robust market data and analysis.
Synthesize workshop outputs into a coherent, documented Annual Strategic Plan.
Plan, including clear strategic levers & Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).
Translate the high‑level strategic plan into a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring every objective has a clear execution pathway.
Design, implement, and manage the PMO framework, including methodologies, standards, tools, and templates.
Establish a project governance structure for initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of strategic projects.
Develop and maintain a centralized portfolio view of all strategic projects.
Align and oversee the execution of high‑priority strategic projects, ensuring they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating critical items to the GCSIO.
Manage project resources, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
Track and report on portfolio performance, providing regular updates to the GCSIO and senior leadership.
Conduct project reviews and post‑implementation evaluations to capture lessons learned.
Ensure all project documentation is maintained to a high standard.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; PMP or PgMP certification is mandatory.
Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3 years in a PMO role.
Proven experience in managing large‑scale, cross‑functional strategic projects.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Results‑Driven: Focused on delivery and achieving concrete outcomes.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in managing and aligning diverse stakeholders.
Problem‑Solving: Ability to navigate complex project challenges and find solutions.
