Job summary

A Malaysian rail development company is seeking a Manager for Regulatory & Stakeholder Management in Kuantan, Pahang. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Economics, or Engineering and over 7 years of experience in the public transport or infrastructure sectors. Responsibilities include managing regulatory compliance, building relationships with government agencies, and preparing regulatory submissions. Strong writing, coordination, and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in public transport or infrastructure industry.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks and government processes.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and preparation of regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head in managing regulatory compliance and stakeholder relations for railway operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports, licenses, and approvals required by regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor compliance with the Land Public Transport Act 2010.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with ministries, agencies, and local authorities.
  • Assist in developing policies, procedures, and documentation related to regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and issue resolution efforts.
  • Provide updates to management on regulatory changes affecting operations.
