Job summary

A leading digital credit solutions company in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Organization Development to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience. In this role, you will manage employee relations, policy governance, and people analytics, driving culture change and supporting HR transformation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, relevant HR certifications, and over six years of experience in Employee Relations or related functions. Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws is essential.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations or related HR functions.
  • Strong experience in policy governance and analytics-driven HR decision-making.
  • Experience in tech, financial services, or fast-paced corporate environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead employee relations portfolio and ensure resolution of workplace issues.
  • Serve as custodian of HR policies and ensure compliance.
  • Develop dashboards for reporting on Employee Relations trends and insights.
  • Drive change management for key HR initiatives and facilitate workshops.

We’re looking for a Manager, Organization Development to lead key initiatives across Employee Relations, Policy Governance, People Analytics, and Culture Development to enhance organisational effectiveness and elevate the employee experience.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to strengthen organisational health, drive culture and behaviour change, and support HR transformation efforts across teams. Your work will play a critical part in shaping a resilient, engaged, and compliance-focused workplace.

Here’s How You Will Add Value:
Employee Relations & Workplace Harmony
  • Lead and manage the employee relations portfolio, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution of workplace issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on disciplinary actions, grievance handling, conflict mediation, and performance-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
  • Build employee relations capability among managers through targeted training on documentation, conversations, investigations and progressive discipline.
  • Develop and track employee relations metrics, trends and risk indicators to strengthen workplace climate.
Policy Governance & Compliance
  • Serve as custodian of HR and company-wide policies, ensuring clarity, relevance and alignment to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development, review, and refresh of policies and procedures (e.g. Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy, Flexible Work Arrangement Policy, Disciplinary Policy).
  • Strengthen governance through robust processes, approval workflows, communication plans and compliance checks.
  • Educate leaders and employees on policies through training, FAQs and playbooks.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Legal and Risk & Compliance to ensure alignment to corporate governance standards, risk register, annual reporting on Sustainability (ESG) and audit requirements.
People Analytics & Insights
  • Develop dashboards and reporting on Employee Relations trends, Culture and Engagement scores, policy compliance, organizational health indicators and workforce metrics.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for decision-making and organizational improvements.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and talent-performance management teams to integrate analytics into people strategies.
Organisation Development & Change Management
  • Drive change management for key initiatives (e.g. HR Digitalisation, policy and compliance training and rollouts)
  • Facilitate culture change taskforce and implementation workshops as well as leadership alignment sessions.
  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes for efficiency, clarity and user experience.
  • Conduct pulse surveys, engagement analysis, and effectiveness reviews for organizational capability development.
Team Development
  • Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the human resources team and business units to integrate organization development efforts and desired outcomes
What you’ll need to succeed:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management, Education or related field
  • Relevant certifications (CPLP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, HRDF, CIPD,)
Work Experience
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, HR Operations, HRBP or related HR functions
  • Strong experience in policy governance, culture development/improvement initiatives and analytics driven HR decision-making
  • Experience in tech, financial services or fast-paced corporate is preferred.
