Overview
The Manager, Innovation Ecosystem & Enablement, manages a team focused on both preparing new entrants for their first steps in AI and supporting mature projects as they expand, ensuring a continuous pipeline of successful AI adoption across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Increase AI Awareness and Readiness: Develop and deliver comprehensive assessment frameworks that evaluate an organization’s and individuals’ maturity level across key areas and at scale. Lead workshops and discovery sessions that help organizations identify specific, high-impact operational challenges that can be solved with AI. Drive campaigns and competitions to identify external talent capable of addressing national or sector-specific challenges.
- Public Sector Advisory Lead: Actively mobilize key programs within the Malaysia National AI Action Plan 2030 by establishing close working relationships with designated Activators and Initiative Owners. Orchestrate for Initiative Owners to co-develop detailed program implementation plans and governance structures to ensure accountability and strategic alignment. Provide public sector stakeholders in securing necessary advice, buy-ins and resources.
- Facilitating Growth & Scale-up: Oversee the development of strategic guides and Scale-up Playbooks (including data management) that help organizations transition from successful isolated pilots to full-scale enterprise integration. Establish and manage channels that provide access to funding mechanisms and market resources that support AI adopters in executing the mass deployment of validated AI solutions. Provide strategic advisory to support the activation and mobilization of AI adoption initiatives as defined in the National AI Action Plan.
- Ecosystem Development & Resource Management: Develop AI ecosystem network to ensure that organizations have access to enablement support in the AI Adoption journey. Manage the allocation of resources to maximize the number of organizations successfully adopting AI technology. Serve as the primary point of contact for initiatives related to enablement and ecosystem development for stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in innovation management or ecosystem development.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Change Management, specifically the challenges of scaling technology from pilot environment to production systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams, business leaders, and government bodies to drive national initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior stakeholders (public or private sector) on AI adoption strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines and adapt to dynamic project environments, managing shifting priorities without compromising quality.
