Overview
Job Summary: The Manager of Reporting and Tax is responsible for overseeing all financial reporting and tax-related functions of the organization. This role ensures compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and internal policies. The position plays a critical role in financial planning, regulatory reporting, tax strategy, and risk management, while leading a team of finance professionals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with related standards.
- Ensure timely submission of internal and external financial reports.
- Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Develop and implement reporting tools and systems to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial insight to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Taxation
- Develop and manage the company’s overall tax strategy.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and other tax regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns and ensure timely payments.
- Liaise with tax authorities, consultants, and advisors.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of financial reporting and tax professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and compliance.
- Provide coaching, performance reviews, and training opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Mitigate tax and reporting-related risks through effective internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and compliance functions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including legal, treasury, and operations on financial and tax matters.
- Support the CFO with strategic initiatives, M&A activities, and investor relations as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and taxation, including leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of International Financial Standards, tax regulations, and financial systems.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
