Manage the process to translate business line strategies into financial plans and targets; review and challenge functional plans, streamline reporting processes and drive standardisation in cost management.
Active engagement with business unit heads and other stakeholders to deliver strategic finance initiatives aimed at performance and profitability improvement/ cost optimization.
Collaborate with business heads and Group Finance to enhance cost oversight across BAU and strategic projects, ensuring financial transparency and accountability across the business units.
Analyze business consolidated financials and provide key reporting and insights to the Senior Management to support decision‑making.
Guide the business units through the financial planning process, including budgeting cycle and quarterly forecasting to ensure business strategies and requirements are reflected in financial performance.
Develop a suite of reports to monitor and predict the progress of strategic initiatives as well as create executive‑level presentations that offer clear, actionable insights.
Ensure all month end, quarter end and year end financial processes are performed accurately and timely, supplemented with variance analysis and commentary on performance in collaboration with the General Ledger and Financial Reporting teams.
Prepare and track business and investment cases, ensuring robust challenges to key business assumptions and key investment criteria (Paybacks, ROI).
Responsible for calculation of annual operating bonus pools and incentive schemes for the business units.
Possesses Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance, preferably with professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc).
Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience, preferably with MFRS 9 knowledge.
Prior experience in a finance business partner role is an added advantage.
Articulate and able to influence key stakeholders and senior management team with business knowledge and financial insights.
Strong analytical skills with ability to multitask and capability to digest complex information, identify trends and analysis through data.
Strong leadership, fast learner and proactive to push forward on priorities.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
