A leading event management company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced VIP Event Manager to act as the primary liaison for VIPs, tenants, and guests. You will plan and coordinate high-profile events, manage event logistics, and ensure a premium guest experience while maintaining safety and service standards. The role requires at least 8–10 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Event Management. This is a renewable contract until October 2026.
Act as the primary liaison between the company, tenants, and VIP guests, ensuring a safe, controlled, and premium experience during visits, events, and special engagements.
Plan, coordinate, and manage high-profile events and VIP movements, with strong attention to safety planning, access control, and crowd management.
Work closely with mall operations, tenants, and service partners to ensure guest experience, safety readiness, and operational standards are consistently met.
Coordinate closely with security teams to manage VIP protection, event security coverage, emergency preparedness, and incident response when required.
Supervise concierge, frontline, and event teams to ensure professionalism, situational awareness, and compliance with service and safety protocols.
Oversee event logistics including venue setup, ingress/egress planning, crowd flow, restricted access areas, and vendor coordination.
Support marketing and tenant teams in executing mall-wide campaigns and events, ensuring alignment with security, safety, and reputational risk requirements.
Manage VIP feedback, sensitive issues, and service recovery discreetly and professionally.
Liaise with authorities, embassies, and corporate stakeholders for event approvals, security coordination, and special arrangements.
Prepare post-event and incident reports, including recommendations for improvements in guest experience, safety, and security controls.
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Public Relations, or related field.
8–10 years’ experience in hospitality, event management, or customer experience roles with direct exposure to mall operations, security coordination, or public venue management.
Proven experience handling VIPs in high-traffic environments such as shopping malls, luxury retail, hotels, or large venues.
Strong understanding of crowd management, access control, and event safety planning.
Confident, professional, and composed when engaging with VIPs and senior stakeholders.
Able to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours during events.
Remark: The contract is until October 2026. Renewable contract subject to management approval.
