Job summary

A global well-being company is seeking a Marketplace Manager in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will develop strategies to enhance brand visibility and manage daily operations on platforms such as Shopee and Lazada. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in online marketplace management, along with strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketplace strategies to grow sales, improve product rankings, and enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage daily operations on all marketplaces, including store setup, product listing, pricing, content, and inventory.
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns aligned with the marketing calendar and marketplace mega campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and marketplace account managers to secure campaign slots and boost visibility.
  • Ensure product listings are accurate, well-optimized with SEO-friendly content, and compliant with marketplace standards.
  • Coordinate product launches, bundle strategies, and upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
  • Track key performance metrics (sales, traffic, conversion, ROI, etc.) and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor competitor activities and pricing trends to remain competitive.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, stock availability, and service recovery for any escalations.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to improve buyer ratings and response time.
  • Work closely with the marketing, logistics, merchandising, and finance teams to ensure end-to-end operational excellence.
  • Liaise with marketplace platforms for new features, insights, and partnership opportunities.
In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing online marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, tools, and promotional mechanics.
  • Data-driven with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
