Job description

Support the Project Lead in managing the collaborative relationships with project partners and stakeholders, including government, neighbours, non-governmental organisations, investors, buyers, industry, and research partners.

Work with group corporate services to ensure alignment of the project with shareholders’ interests and project governance.

Work with the Community Development Manager to ensure alignment with community messaging.

Work with the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Manager to ensure that all engagements and communications are documented as per Verra standards, funders and buyers’ requirements.

Work with the Project Lead and Deputy Project Lead to develop and implement the communications plans. Act as the principal media contact and crisis communications focal point for the company.

Coordinate internal and external resources to actively promote the company’s reputation, including through website, mainstream and social media, publications, conference, exhibitions, etc.

Coordinate internal, external, investors/buyers/funders communications, including organising internal and external events.

Coordinate external resources and internal controls to ensure compliance – including in external communications – with relevant laws governing land, forest, environment, wildlife and indigenous people.

Manage sponsorships and donations in accordance with company’s procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of working experience in communications, marketing, business administration or relevant field.

Fluent in written and eloquent in spoken English and Malay languages.

Passionate in environmental protection and community development.

Creative in writing, graphics and media, and skilled in event management.

Outstanding interpersonal and engagement skills.
