Job summary

Job description

This role is responsible for driving company-wide strategy and business modeling, enabling proactive and agile decision-making by the Country Head, CEO and Senior Leadership. The role will work closely with the Analytics team to interpret data, trends, and strategic scenarios that affect CGS MY’s performance, business licensing, and growth plans. The role will also work closely with regulators and government bodies, including preparing analysis and briefing materials for ministerial offices, and supporting national initiatives, especially in promoting Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) into Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain company-wide rolling forecasts, including P&L, AUM projections, and cost/revenue drivers.
  • Conduct multi-scenario planning and real-time modeling for key strategic initiatives, and new market entries.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis to support decision-making for Group CEO and local senior management and board members on commercial viability of cross-border and internal initiatives.
  • Partner with the Data Analytics team to translate raw data into business intelligence and validate strategic assumptions.
  • Generate monthly dashboards and insights for key C-suite reviews and strategy checkpoints.
  • Prepare financial input and valuation slides for internal strategic forums, conferences, and cross-border partnership discussions.
  • Support business planning, investor materials, and minutes writing.
  • Support regulatory and government engagements by preparing briefing decks, policy-aligned analysis, and talking points for meetings and official submissions, including materials for ministerial offices where required.
  • Contribute to government-led initiatives (especially FDI promotion) by developing strategic narratives, sector positioning, and data-backed insights to support Malaysia’s investment agenda and cross-border partnerships.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance/ Economics/ Accounting/ Business Administration.
  • Equivalent professional qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, executive office support or business consulting.
Skills
  • Strong grasp of capital markets, AUM-driven business models and the economics of brokerage and wealth management.
  • Advanced Excel skills with proven capability in financial modelling.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint with strong presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
