Job summary

A leading FMCG company in Malaysia is seeking a results-driven marketing professional to translate brand marketing objectives into impactful initiatives. In this role, you will formulate and implement marketing plans, serve as the operational link between local branches and principal brands, and conduct performance reviews. The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing or business and a minimum of 3 years experience in a brand marketing role, preferably within the FMCG sector. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

  • Experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, or related industries is an advantage.

Job description

We're looking for a sharp, results-driven person who can translate Principal's/Agencies brand marketing objectives into successful, on-the-ground marketing initiatives, directly impacting our bottom line.

As the primary person, you will be the connector, executor, and strategist for a designated brand/product portfolio:

Strategic Execution

Formulate and drive local marketing plans (A&P activities) that align with the Company's vision and our Principal's Brand/Product parameters to maximize sales growth.

Operational Bridge

Serve as the crucial link between local branches/key accounts and the Principal Brand/Product, ensuring smooth flow of information, execution updates, and resolution of operational matters (pricing, inventory, etc.).

Performance & Insight

Conduct monthly business reviews with the Principal Brand/Product, analyzing performance, market trends, and key competitive activities. Gather critical trade feedback through regular market visits.

Budget & Compliance

Own the tracking, coordination, and timely submission of all A&P expenditure claims, maintaining impeccable records and adherence to approved budgets.

Future-Proofing

Continuously gather key learnings and feedback to inform and implement necessary improvements, ensuring our marketing plans are always optimized for maximum return.

Product Stewardship

Actively manage and promote the assigned product portfolio through impactful sales and operational marketing initiatives.

Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar brand marketing/marketer role. Experience in FMCG/Consumer Goods/Food industry/Personal Care/Household and dealing directly with a Principal Brand/Product owners is a significant advantage.
  • Education: A Degree in Marketing, Business Studies, or a related field.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication (written & verbal) skills. High proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is crucial & non-negotiable, for reporting and presentations.
  • Mindset: You are proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic plans.
