Job description

We are seeking an experienced Manager (Account) to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial accounts and providing strategic financial advice to support the organisation's growth and success.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting

Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulatory bodies, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement financial controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Provide financial advice and support to other departments to help them achieve their business objectives

Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance management role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights

Proficient in the use of financial management software and tools, such as ERP systems and spreadsheet applications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Proven track record of managing and developing a team of finance professionals

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) would be highly desirable
