Management Trainee – Group Strategic Finance (12-Month Programme)
TSM Global Berhad invites high-potential graduates to join our 12-month Management Trainee Programme. This development programme provides hands‑on exposure to group‑level strategic finance initiatives, including budgeting, financial analysis, market research, M&A support, and business performance improvement. The programme is designed to develop future leaders with strong commercial and analytical capabilities within the Group.
Upon successful completion, you will be offered a permanent role within the Group, aligned with your strengths and business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cross‑Functional & Strategic Support
- Participate in cross-functional projects such as cost optimization, automation, and digital finance initiatives.
- Contribute to annual budgeting, long‑term planning, and monthly performance dashboards.
- Analyze cost structures, revenue drivers, and profitability trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support M&A‑related activities, including analysis and documentation.
- Assist in preparing government incentive and grant applications, including compliance tracking.
- Collaborate with finance, tax, and commercial teams to integrate tax strategies into business planning.
2. Market Research & Business Intelligence
- Conduct market and industry research using reputable and authoritative sources.
- Identify opportunities for tax‑efficient structures, incentives, and grants to enhance profitability and cash flow.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
3. Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Support valuation and investment feasibility studies by preparing inputs and documenting assumptions.
4. Reporting & Presentations
- Support the preparation of data‑driven presentations for management reviews and board‑level discussions.
- Document methodologies, results, and lessons learned, and present recommendations with guidance and coaching.
5. Other Responsibilities
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law, or a related quantitative discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT) from a reputable institution.
- Strong academic performance with active involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience, including internships.
- Analytical, curious, and eager to learn with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working with data, numbers, and presentations.
