Job summary

A regional apparel manufacturer is looking for an experienced Fashion Designer to create culturally relevant designs for traditional Malay menswear. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of fashion design experience, particularly in traditional clothing, and must be proficient in both Bahasa Melayu and English. This role involves managing the entire design process from concept to production, working closely with various teams to ensure quality and alignment with market trends.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of fashion design experience, especially in traditional Malay clothing.
• Prior experience working with established local Malay fashion brands is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create original designs for traditional Malay menswear ensuring cultural authenticity.
• Conduct sourcing and purchasing of materials for design development.
• Manage the entire design lifecycle from conceptualization to production.
