A manufacturing company in Penang is looking for a Maintenance Technician specializing in plastic welding machines. Qualifications

• Minimum Education: SKM or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Electrical and Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 2-4 years hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
• Exposure to plastic welding machines, PM checklist, and basic work instruction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance on plastic welding machines to ensure equipment reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical or basic electrical issues.
• Clean and inspect welding jigs/fixtures; report any wear or misalignment.

Job description

Maintenance Technician (Plastic Welding)

carry out routine maintenance on plastic welding machines (e.g., ultrasonic , hot plate, hot air) as per schedule to ensure equipment reliability.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical or basic electrical issues during machine breakdown.

Help align fixtures, verify heater and pressure settings and support machine readiness for production.

Clean and inspect welding jigs /fixtures ; report any wear and misalignment to senior technicians.

Record PM checklists, downtime logs, and part replacement details accurately and on time.

Comply with LOTO and workplace safety practices ; maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform overtime work when required by supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Education : SKM or Diploma in (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Electrical and Industrial Maintenance).

Minimum 2-4 Years hand on in machine maintenance . Exposure to plastic welding machines (e.g. ultrasonic, hot plate, vibration).

Exposure to PM checklist , basic work instruction.

Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word & able to interface with HMI/control panel display.
