As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on all production machinery, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. This role works closely with the Maintenance Engineer and production team to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to the maintenance schedule for production and utility equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Support machine repair, part replacement, and alignment to ensure optimal performance.
- Record all maintenance activities in the maintenance log or CMMS system.
- Diagnose and repair issues in machinery such as motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and control panels.
- Handle minor wiring, sensor, actuator, or component replacements.
- Support calibration, testing, and commissioning of equipment after maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspection and maintenance for air compressors, HVAC, lighting, water pumps, and other utilities.
- Support facility maintenance work such as electrical wiring, plumbing, and equipment relocation.
- Monitor machine and facility conditions and report abnormalities promptly.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized servicing.
- Assist in training new operators or technicians on basic machine care.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and DOSH requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping (5S) in maintenance areas and around machines.
Job Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic / Industrial.
- Minimum 3–5 years in equipment or plant maintenance, preferably in manufacturing or machining environment, or EP line.
- Strong troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical & automation systems.
- Familiar with CNC machine troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas etc.).
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits & controls.
- Understanding of pumps, valves, rectifiers & ventilation systems.
- Basic welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting.
- Teamwork, attention to detail, initiative, safety awareness, and problem-solving ability.
