Job description

Overview

Executes daily operations for Maintenance department, working towards operating with the least amount of downtime. Maintain the entire shopping mall facility and equipment in accordance with energy conservation by implementing effective maintenance programs as well as energy saving measure.

Main Accountabilities

• Sees to it that general and emergency repair and maintenance works for all plant and equipment are executed within an acceptable time frame
• Participate in energy saving measures.
• Perform maintenance activities in the field of Electrical System, Extra Low Voltage System, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System, Fire Protection System, Cold Water and Sanitary Plumbing System, Liquefied Petroleum Gas System, Vertical Transportation System, Carpentry Works, Building Repairs and Maintenance.
• Monitor Maintenance contractors during shop renovations/upgrading works and attends to tenants' request.
• Monitor Maintenance contractor for outsource job.
• Provide support and assistance to Marketing department during festive events and decorations.
• Conducts and documents regular inspections of plant and equipment according to statutory requirement / operational requirement.
• Ensure accurate records for plants and equipment for the building.
• Execute Work Order to meet customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the 5S of all plant/equipment rooms.
• Always wear the necessary personal protective equipment and use tools, equipment and machine properly to prevent injuries.
• Responsible to update spare part usage record and daily work report.
• Responsible to upkeep of maintenance tools and equipments.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in strategizing for maintenance plan and to achieve department goals.
• Understands and applies policies implemented by Sunway to any personal data received, used, transmitted, processed or stored.
• To comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.
• To ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any unauthorized 3rd party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager or the PDP Officer.
• To ensure that consent is obtained from the Data Subjects Whenever Personal Data is collected and the Personal Data Protection Notice is always served to the Data Subjects upon collection of their Personal Data
• To report any enquiries/ complaints in relation to Personal Data and data security breach incidents to the Information Manager immediately
• To ensure that all Personal Data is protected from any physical damage and from any unauthorized access, alteration, removal or destruction according to the Personal Data Protection Security Policy
• To report any unusual incidents such as suspected data security breach and violations to the Information Manager as soon as possible
• To provide full co-operation to the PDP Officer upon internal audit or investigation.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum Certificate in Mechanical Engineering ,SPM or recognized trade qualification.
• Minimum THREE (3) years of relevant working experience.
• Able to write and communicate in English and National Language.
• Possesses technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities in the field of Electrical System, Extra Low Voltage System, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System, Fire Protection System, Cold Water and Sanitary Plumbing System, Liquefied Petroleum Gas System, Vertical Transportation System, Carpentry Works, Building Repairs and Maintenance.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, condition based maintenance, breakdown maintenance and basics knowledge in relevant legislation (Electricity Supply Act and Regulations, building codes, fire safety and National Standards)
• Fine attentions to details and quality.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team and possess practical hands on skills in related field.
