Job summary

A healthcare facility in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure preventive maintenance and carry out repairs on building facilities. The ideal candidate should have at least SPM/Vokasional Cert/STPM and a minimum of 2 years of experience in M & E systems maintenance. Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining workshop tools. Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' working experience in maintenance of M & E systems and building facilities.
• Experience in plumbing/painting/welding/PABX will be an added advantage.
• Willing to work on shift rotation schedule (24/7), weekends and public holiday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are performed according to procedure.
• Report on any findings requiring attention related to equipment/building conditions.
• Carry out general repairs including plumbing and painting.
• Adhere to safety precautions during daily tasks.
• Troubleshoot and undertake hands-on repair works for building facilities.
• Coordinate repair works with suppliers and/or contractors.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) task is performed according to procedure and schedule.
• By observing the physical and working conditions of all equipment/building premises/furniture and fittings during the course of the daily work and report on any findings that require attention.
• Carries out general repair, painting, toiletry fitting, and plumbing works according to standard.
• Adhere to safety precautions whilst carrying out daily tasks to avoid any accidents/injury.
• Troubleshoots and undertakes hands on repair works for any issues relating to building facilities promptly.
• Coordinates repair works with suppliers and/or contractors.
• Attends complaint with repairs and maintenance orders or urgent top priority jobs through phone calls from other departments owner promptly.
• To be aware and assist management to minimize wastage and costs.
• Ensures that all workshop tools and equipment are well stocked and maintained.

Requirements
