Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and electrical systems. This includes troubleshooting machine faults, repairing machine electrical components, and ensuring all systems run efficiently and safely in compliance with company SOPs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance Activities
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure optimal performance and minimize unexpected breakdowns.
  • Perform lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, inspection and replacement of parts according to machine maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and Diagnose Machine Failures
  • Identify root causes of machine malfunctions (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic).
  • Determine the problem and carry out timely repairs to restore normal operation.
• Respond to Equipment Breakdowns Quickly
  • Restore machine operation and reduce production loss.
• Assist with Machine Installation and Commissioning
  • Support setup, installation, and commissioning of new machines and ensuring correct alignment, wiring, testing, and calibration.
  • Assist engineers when needed during the setup process.
• Replace or Repair Machine Components
  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery parts and replace worn-out components using appropriate tools.
  • Fabricate simple parts or supports when needed.
• Team Support
  • Collaborate with production teams and mechanical technician to resolve technical issues.
• Maintenance Tools and Workshop Area
  • Properly store, clean, and maintain tools and machine.
  • Keep the maintenance area organized, safe, and ready to use at all times.
• Monitor and Optimize Machine Performance
  • Continuously monitor machine performance and condition.
  • Recommend improvements or modifications to enhance productivity and machine lifespan.
