Maintenance Repair Technician - (Production Team) Manufacturing Industry

1. Job Summary

The Repairer is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and support the production team effectively.

2. Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, mechanical components, electrical systems, and tools.

Diagnose machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions promptly.

Replace, adjust, or repair defective parts, wiring, motors, sensors, and control panels.

Perform mechanical alignment and calibration as needed.

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance according to PM plans.

Record maintenance tasks, findings, and follow-up actions.

Identify potential issues to prevent unplanned downtime.

Production Line Support

Ensure machines are safe, stable, and production-ready.

Assist with line changeovers, machine setup, and adjustments.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain repair reports, maintenance checklists, and spare-part usage records.

Update machine history and maintenance logs.

Report repeated breakdowns and suggest improvement measures.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and company SOPs during maintenance.

Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S).

Spare Parts & Tools Management

Monitor spare-part inventory and report shortages.

Maintain tools and maintenance equipment properly.

3. Requirements

Education & Experience

SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of maintenance/repair experience in manufacturing (preferred).

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical wiring.

Ability to read technical drawings and machine manuals.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience in repair, wiring, and machine adjustment.

Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Other Requirements

Willingness to work overtime, shifts, or weekends if required.

Physically fit and able to perform technical tasks.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Language: Mandarin speaker preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

4. Special Advantage (Optional)

Experience with PLC, automation, robotics, or CNC machines.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, safety standards, or TPM.
