Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Maintenance & Electrical (M&E) team which includes plant and equipment maintenance and repair works, upgrading and improvement works, M&E installations, etc. for the production facilities and ensure effective and efficient maintenance.
  • Actively participate in maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality.
  • Fully responsible for the maintenance department yearly budget and proactively come up with ideas on improvement projects.
  • Build up maintenance methodologies competencies within the maintenance department. Actively involved in coming up with Industrial Engineering strategies and recommendations to improve the productivity of the plant such as implementation of maintenance methodologies, TPM and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the plant's maintenance & electrical team in Preventive Maintenance program, Reliability Engineering and Manpower planning.
  • Ensure proper motivation and capability improvement of staff by implementing continuous development, upgrading of skills and career development and maintain high standard of workmanship by ensuring skilled and reliable workers/contractors are employed.
  • Work closely with all departments to identify and rectify machinery and equipment issues with regards to safety, productivity, quality and reliability. Liaise with management, operations and quality system personnel to resolve process line problems and recommend measures to improve operation and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Working closely with the project core team to provide ideas, advice and engineering support to improve, upgrade and automate the production lines in order to achieve better efficiency and production yields.
  • Ensure compliance on all legal requirements, Company policies and procedures and adhere to company and audit standards. Ensure compliance to DOE, JKKP, DOSH etc., requirements and other related management systems are adopted by the Company.
  • Lead and manage project – plant machinery/equipment upgrade or new equipment installation and commissioning project (including liaising with vendor, proposing concept/design, qualification/buyoff, conduct training, establishing performance standards, managing budgets, schedules and quality).
  • Any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superior.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance management & project management.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical and managerial skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess analytical skills in problem solving.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in mechanical, electrical, and PLC operating systems.
  • General understanding of financial analysis, budget reports, and relevant business drivers.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and maintenance execution.
  • Preferably with knowledge of food processing equipment maintenance and technology.
  • Possess an understanding of OSHA and life safety regulations.
