About the role

Hiap Teck Venture Berhad is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our facility in Meru, Selangor. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment and infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and programs to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency
• Coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance teams, including technicians and tradespeople
• Analyzing maintenance data and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities
• Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations
• To prepare and maintain a proper and effective filing system for maintenance records, machine specification, technical drawing, etc.
• Preparing maintenance budgets and monitoring expenditures
• Review the operation of plant equipment and system constantly to minimize unplanned downtime anticipate solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a manufacturing field
• Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
