Job description

As a Maintenance professional within the Hotel Continental (Penang) Sdn Bhd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our prestigious hotel located in the heart of George Town, Penang. This full-time position is responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks to maintain the high standards of our facilities and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and internal departments.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce breakdowns and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain proper records of repair works, maintenance logs, and equipment usage.
• Assist in monitoring hotel equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water pumps, and generators.
• Support renovation or repair projects when required.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with hotel safety procedures and regulatory standards.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in hotel or hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or air-conditioning works.
• Able to diagnose and repair common facility issues.
• Physically fit and able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess related certifications (wireman, air-cond servicing, or technical certifications) is an advantage.
