Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Port Klang is seeking an experienced logistics executive to handle import/export declarations, manage customs formalities, and ensure timely clearance of goods. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in logistics, possess strong communication skills, and be familiar with customs declarations. The position includes day and night shifts and requires willingness to work half days on Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience in logistics.
  • Familiar with customs declaration.
  • Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage).

Responsibilities

  • Declaration for Import & Export.
  • Handle all custom formalities with customs.
  • Manage forwarding activities for timely clearance of goods.
  • Monitor and update containers through the port system.
  • Liaise with clients regarding HS codes and duty/tax advice.

Job description

The company is a Singapore based company, offering a one-stop total logistics solutions.

Its expertise includes – Airfreight & Seafreight (Import & Export), Transhipment Cargoes, Consolidation Services, Custom Brokerage, Warehouse, Distribution & Packing Services, Projects & Exhibition Cargoes, Cargo Insurance and Warehousing.

Responsibilities
  • Declaration for Import & Export ( K1,K2,K3,K4,K8,K9,ZB1,ZB2)
  • Handle all custom formalities with customs and other authorities with regards to custom clearance.
  • Manage forwarding activities and ensure that import and export goods are cleared in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and update containers through the port system
  • Experienced in EDI, Dagang Net and Port VGM submission
  • Liaise with clients and agents with proper HS codes and advices duty/tax amount upon enquiry.
  • Provide timely report and appropriate analysis
  • Ensure proper documentation filling and system update
  • Handle any task assigned by immediate superior or company management from time to time
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess at least SPM, Diploma or Advanced / Higher/ transportation or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in logistics.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess problem solving skills
  • Meticulous and able to multi-task
  • Familiar with customs declaration
  • Required skill(s): Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, self-disciplines, computer literate, presentation preparation and report.
  • Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
  • One (1) day shift and one (1) night shift position available.
  • Willing to work half day on Saturday.
  • Willing to work in Bandar Sultan Suleiman, Port Klang.
