Lobby Ambassador

The Lobby Ambassador creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant and banquet guests in the lobby area.

We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are required. Excellent communication skills are essential. Physical by nature this position requires standing for 8 hours per shift. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel. Assists guests descending from cars. Gives verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot. Opens hotel doors for all guests.
• Directs hotel guests to the Front Desk for check‑in.
• Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions. Hails taxis as needed.
• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints, assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in‑house events, etc.
• Greets all guests passing through Front Door and offers them assistance.

Qualifications

• Poses an affinity for guest service.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Certificate in related discipline.
• Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs.
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia.
• Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
