A leading legal services firm in Malaysia is seeking a Legal Manager with extensive experience in legal practice. The role involves drafting and finalizing various legal documents and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience, a recognised law degree, and strong skills in stakeholder management and legal advisory. Draft, review, and finalize a wide range of legal documents including Family Constitutions, Deeds, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, MOUs, NDAs, and client agreements.
Ensure all documentation aligns with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Liaise closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate execution and implementation of legal documentation.

Provide legal support to Family Office Advisory, Corporate Services, Investment, and Operations teams.
Assess legal risks and advise on enforceability and mitigation strategies.
Contribute to family governance structuring and cross‑border implementation initiatives.
Liaise with external legal counsel on advisory matters, documentation reviews, and dispute‑related issues.
Manage and review legal opinions to ensure consistency with internal policies and client objectives.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and supervisory bodies, including SC, BNM, Labuan IBFC, and other relevant self‑regulatory organizations.
Oversee regulatory filings, reporting obligations, and license renewals where applicable.
Monitor regulatory developments and audit requirements, and advise management on impact and required actions.
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of internal policies and SOPs, including AML/CFT, data privacy, and conflict of interest frameworks.
Conduct periodic compliance meetings with department heads to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
Assist in delivering in‑house training on legal, compliance, AML/CFT, and onboarding‑related topics.
Promote regulatory awareness and legal literacy across the organization.
Assist in conducting and reviewing client onboarding processes, including KYC, risk profiling, and source of wealth verification.
Support the Division in advising family office clients on governance structures, succession planning, and related legal documentation.
Assist in team performance reviews, recruitment processes, and maintaining reporting discipline within the Division.
Support the Division in achieving the Company’s objectives, mission, vision, and strategic goals, as directed by Management.
Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, with substantial experience in legal practice (law firm and/or in‑house).
Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree.
Valid practising credentials will be advantageous.
Strong experience in corporate, commercial, trust, estate planning, regulatory compliance, or family office‑related matters.
Proven ability to manage multi‑jurisdictional legal and regulatory issues.
Strong stakeholder management, drafting, and advisory skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
