Manager, Legal
  • Responsible for managing all legal matters of the Corporation, its subsidiaries, and related entities, ensuring effective governance across the Group.
  • Deliver legal advice, strategic planning, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, while managing legal risks and litigation issues.
  • Offer professional advice on a broad range of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, to support business operations.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks arising from business decisions and operations and develop strategies to minimise potential liabilities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments to safeguard the interests of the Corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Handle or oversee litigation, disputes, and negotiations, working closely with external counsel to protect the Group’s position.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised university and be duly admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Have 10–15 years of post‑qualification experience, with a strong track record in both private practice and in‑house legal counsel roles, which will be considered an added advantage.
  • Candidates with prior involvement in construction and/or renewable energy projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Malaysian law, particularly in areas directly connected to the Group’s operations and industry, enabling effective compliance and risk management.
  • Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities, coupled with effective communication and interpersonal skills to advise and interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be proficient in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents, while also providing strategic legal guidance that supports the Group’s overall business objectives and long‑term strategy.
