About the role

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including tenancy agreements, service agreements, non‑disclosure agreements, and corporate contracts. Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements while safeguarding the company’s interests.

Corporate & Compliance Matters
  • Provide legal assistance in various corporate projects, including development projects, corporate transactions, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, external counsel, and company secretaries on corporate governance matters.
Intellectual Property and Compliance
  • Handle licensing and intellectual‑property issues, including trademarks and licenses, and provide advice on protection and enforcement strategies.
  • Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in managing disputes, tenant issues, and contractual claims, ensuring legal risks are mitigated.
  • Liaise with external counsel on litigation matters, including landlord‑tenant disputes, commercial disputes, and regulatory proceedings.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management
  • Provide legal opinions and risk assessments to internal stakeholders on business operations.
General Legal Support
  • Maintain and organize legal documentation and records for compliance.
  • Assist in special projects, tasks, or assignments as delegated by the Head of Department (HOD).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution. Member of the Malaysian Bar (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1–3 years of post‑qualification experience in legal practice and/or in‑house roles.
  • Prior experience in a public‑listed company or the real‑estate/property development industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and property law.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
