Job summary

A Malaysian company is seeking a legal professional to handle issuance of Developer confirmation letters, draft tenancy agreements, and provide comprehensive legal support across all departments. The role includes liaising with solicitors, monitoring compliance with laws, and assisting in litigation matters. Candidates should have a strong grasp of Malaysian law and demonstrate excellent legal drafting skills. Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Malaysian law including Companies Act and PDPA.
  • Experience in drafting various legal agreements and documents.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Handle issuance of Developer confirmation letters and related documents.
  • Draft tenancy agreements and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide legal support to all departments across Group companies.
Job description

Handle issuance of Developer confirmation letters and related documents;

Arrange for execution of NLC forms;

Drafting tenancy agreements and/or related documents;

Liaise with solicitors, land offices, local authorities and regulators.

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements including, without limitation Sale and Purchase Agreement, Joint Venture Agreements, Novation Agreements, Letter of Awards, NDAs, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), Consultancy Agreements, Sales & Marketing Agreements, and Property-related commercial contracts;

Provide legal support to all departments across Group companies.

Assist in litigation matters (if any);

Issuance of letter of demands and legal reminder letters;

Monitor timelines, compliance and cost exposure.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws (Companies Act, NLC, PDPA, HDA, etc.).

Support audits and internal risk management initiatives.

Supporting company secretarial matters.

Provide timely legal advice to management and internal stakeholders.

Support contract administration, execution, and risk mitigation.

Maintain clear timelines, action lists and status trackers for ongoing legal matters.

Coordinate submissions, responses, and approvals to avoid bottlenecks and operational delays.

Perform other legal duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.
