Job description

We are seeking a highly driven legal professional with strong experience in providing practical legal support, including reviewing and drafting agreements, advising on compliance matters, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Draft, review and negotiate all types of commercial contracts and legal documents.

Liaise with various business units across the company and provide necessary inputs where required.

Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations impacting the industry and advise the company on compliance requirements.

Assist in developing and implementing internal policies, procedures, processes and guidelines related to contract management.

Conduct legal research on assigned matters and provide well-reasoned recommendations.

Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders.

Attend to all other legal matters as instructed by the superior.

Qualification/ Skills:

Possess a bachelor’s degree in law and admitted to the Bar in Malaysia or other recognized jurisdictions.

Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with exposure to in-house legal work.

Proficient in English and Malay (Mandarin proficiency considered an advantage).

Detail-orientated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, competition law or corporate compliance matters will be an added advantage.
