The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Law and has 3-4 years of relevant experience in legal practice. Qualifications

Job Responsibilities
- Contract & Legal Document Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (supplier, distributor, franchise, tenancy, licensing).
- Ensure contracts align with legal requirements and company policies.
- Maintain records of agreements and renewals.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure company operations comply with local and international food laws (e.g., Food Act 1983, HACCP, FSSC, GMP).
- Handle halal certification processes (JAKIM), if applicable.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (KPDN, MOH, SIRIM, etc.).
- Risk Management & Legal Advisory
- Advise management on legal implications of business decisions.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to new products or business strategies.
- Monitor changes in laws, especially those affecting food safety, labeling, packaging, and advertising.
- Corporate Governance
- Prepare board resolutions and maintain statutory records.
- Liaise with the company secretary for filings (SSM).
- Ensure proper documentation for annual general meetings, shareholder resolutions, etc.
- Litigation Support
- Assist in dispute resolution or litigation matters (e.g., supplier disagreements, consumer complaints).
- Coordinate with external lawyers when necessary.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Management
- Monitor and manage trademarks, patents, and copyrights for branding and product names.
- Handle brand protection or infringement issues.
- Internal Policy & Training
- Draft internal legal policies (e.g., employee code of conduct, anti-bribery).
- Educate teams (sales, marketing, production) on legal compliance and ethical standards.
Job Requirements
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Law
- Preferably minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience in legal practice or in-house legal department
- Preferably Executive specializing in Legal
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and litigation processes.
