Job Responsibilities
- Draft, vet or review various legal documents and contracts related to the business of the Company including correspondences to the Government.
- Ensure the Company’s business operations comply with all applicable laws and cov development internal governance policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor the Company’s litigation matters including the preparation of monthly litigation report and liaise with external lawyers.
- Conduct research and keep abreast of new laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its business operations, and advise the Company on any potential legal issues/risks arising therefrom.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as may be required or assigned by the Management/head of department.
- Attend meetings/discussions with contractors, suppliers, vendors, government officials, etc.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned by the head of department/Management.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Laws.
- At least 2 years working experience with exposure in corporate, commercial, or civil litigation.
- Good legislative and commercial drafting skills.
- Exposure in reviewing/preparing Sukuk documentation will be an added advantage.
- Well organised, meticulous, attentive to details and able to multi task.
- Called to the Malaysian Bar will be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Good discipline and possess high integrity.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team in a multi-discipline working group.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure/critical timeline.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Word / Excel / Power Point.
