Job summary

A leading educational institution in Malaysia is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer for the School of Physiotherapy. The candidate will prepare and deliver teaching materials, develop curriculum, and provide student-centered learning experiences. Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy with at least 3 years of teaching experience, alongside substantial clinical experience. This role involves building professional relationships with students and enhancing their learning experiences.

Teaching experience in the following subject areas:

  • Musculoskeletal
  • Functional and Applied Anatomy and Physiology
Responsibilities
  • To be involved in the preparation and delivery of teaching material, development of the curriculum and continually improve courses and learning experiences for students.
  • To develop and deliver resources, teaching materials and assessments to meet programme/course/student frameworks and learning outcomes.
  • To apply learning and teaching methodologies, processes, technologies and tools to deliver student‑centred learning opportunities in the physiotherapy discipline.
  • To be able to link professional/ industry experience to pedagogic practice to enhance the student experience.
  • To build professional relationships with students and provide timely and appropriate consultation.
Requirements
  • Possess a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent with at least 3 years of teaching experience. Preferably those who hold a Master’s Degree in Musculoskeletal or Cardiorespiratory or Neurology Physiotherapy.
  • Substantial clinical and/or research experience in Physiotherapy.
  • Preferably with 5 years of experience working in clinical settings.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum, module and course development of the School.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to course and subject design, and to deliver student‑centred learning and teaching that includes the capacity to incorporate new approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team.
