Job summary

A leading retail company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Learning / Training & Development Executive. In this role, you will manage HRD Corp claims, coordinate training schedules, and deliver various training programs on company culture, product knowledge, and customer service. You should possess a degree in relevant fields, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the retail industry. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The position may require travel to retail boutiques.

Job description
Learning / Training & Development Executive (Retail Trainer)

• Manage HRD Corp (HRDF) claims, documentation, and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate training schedules, attendance materials, and evaluations.

• Maintain accurate training records, reports, and training cost tracking.

• Liaise with internal teams, trainers, and external training providers.

  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding programs for new retail and corporate hires.
  • Deliver modules on company culture, service standards, and basic operations.
  • Ensure consistent onboarding experience across outlets and departments.
  • Collect feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Product Training
  • Support development and delivery of product training programs.
  • Ensure accurate product knowledge aligned with brand standards.
  • Coordinate product training for new launches, campaigns, and seasonal collections.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams.
Brand & Customer Service Training
  • Deliver brand-led customer service training aligned with company values and service standards.
  • Train frontline teams on customer engagement, service etiquette, and brand experience.
  • Reinforce service behaviours through role-play, observation, and coaching support.
  • Support consistency of customer experience across all touchpoints.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources or related.
  • Professional qualification in Training & Development will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of training & development experience in retail or similar industry.
  • Good presentation skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working within the team and with all levels of management and retail boutique team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).
  • Digital learning knowledge, good analytical and orgranisational skills.
  • Able to travel and visit our retail boutiques when required.
