Job summary

A technology firm in Penang is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing and analysis using advanced equipment. Responsibilities include documenting test reports and ensuring safety guidelines. Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering and have experience in material science analysis and PCBA manufacturing. This full-time position offers a salary between RM1,500 and RM2,500 per month.

Job description

Carry out routine testing and analysis services using advanced LAB equipment and standard operating procedure.

Assist in documenting LAB test reports associated with PCBA manufacturing, ESD, environmental and mechanical reliability testing.

Carry out any other functions required by superior and management team to meet customer and business requirements.

Ensure 6S and safety guidelines in the LAB are followed strictly at all times.

Assist in calibration, PCBA level debugging and component level failure analysis.

Advanced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word. Good reporting skill.

Result oriented, committed and work towards excellence.

Conduct material science analysis and test services involving Ion Chromatography (IC), Total Ion Chromatogram (TIC), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM/EDX).

Carry out SMT testing and failure analysis services covering solder-ability test, dye and pull, micro cross section, C-SAM, IC Decap, and Delayering.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering or engineering related course.

Work experience in material science analysis and testing services involving Ion Chromatography (IC), Total Ion Chromatogram (TIC), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM/EDX).

Work experience in PCBA manufacturing and SMT LAB Test services, (Solder-ability test, dye and pull, micro cross section, C-SAM, IC Decap. Delayering)

Knowledgeable and work experience in ESD ANSI 2021 testing requirements and implementations.

Advanced technical skills in Failure analysis. Know how in oscilloscope functions, circuit diagram, PCBA debugging, block diagram and component level testing and FA.
