Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Port Klang is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform daily testing duties and maintain laboratory equipment. Responsibilities include documenting results, conducting safety checks, and ensuring proper storage of materials. Candidates should have at least SPM/STPM with a science background and preferable experience in a lab setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interaction within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / STPM (science background) or its equivalent.
• Preferable 1‑year experience in a similar position in a laboratory.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily laboratory testing duties assigned.
• Record and maintain the testing result in the worksheet/logbook.
• Conduct laboratory safety checks.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily laboratory testing duties assigned.
• Carry out maintenance on certain equipment (which does not require specific qualification).
• Record and maintain the testing result in the worksheet / logbook which will be verified by Chemist / Microbiologist / Assistant Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Manager.
• Carry out laboratory safety checking.
• Protect customer confidential information and proprietary rights.
• Upkeep the laboratory environment and housekeeping.
• Clean the sample containers and laboratory apparatus after use.
• Laboratory Technician / Assistant is not allowed to communicate with the customers pertaining to the test result.
• Ensure the stored material / goods are identified, allocated, preserved and protected in proper manner and environment.
• Additional job assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
