Job summary

A chemical testing laboratory in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a laboratory technician to perform chemical testing for food and pharmaceutical samples. Responsibilities include operating lab equipment like ICP-MS and HPLC, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice and ISO 17025. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of STPM or Diploma in chemistry or related science, with fresh graduates encouraged to apply. Knowledge of lab instruments is a plus.

Job description

Perform chemical testing for food and pharmaceutical samples according to approved test methods.

Responsible to operate lab equipment such as ICP-MS, HPLC, FTIR and IC.

Responsible to maintain and calibrate lab equipment.

Responsible to maintain records of all quality activities as documented in SOPs and test methods.

Ensure all relevant raw data or test information to be correctly and accurately recorded in the provided raw data sheet or log book.

To assist chemists in performing method verification and validation when the need arises.

Ensure the cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the laboratory.

Ensure the laboratory complies with Good Laboratory Practice and ISO17025 requirements.

Job Requirement:

Minimum STPM or Diploma in chemistry or related science study.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Candidate with working experience in chemical laboratory is an added advantage.

Candidate with experience and knowledge in lab instruments such as ICP-MS, HPLC, FTIR and IC will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and ISO 17025 requirements is an added advantage.

Computer literate especially Microsoft.

Good communication and written skills in English and Malay.
