Kitchen Assistant - 21 Trees (cafe) by Tomaz shoes

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations at 21Trees. The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, and willing to help in various kitchen tasks to ensure smooth operations, clean and safe work environments, and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
1. Kitchen Support
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
  • Prepare ingredients, wash and chop vegetables, and handle simple cooking duties.
  • Prepare beverages such as coffee, tea, and other drinks when needed.
2. Cleanliness & Hygiene
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Dispose of waste correctly and ensure proper sanitation at all times.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and company hygiene standards.
3. Inventory & Stock Assistance
  • Help manage stock levels of ingredients, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
  • Report shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
4. Customer & Team Support
  • Assist in serving food and beverages when required.
  • Support other team members during busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork-oriented approach at all times.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in kitchen operations or food service is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including food preparation, cleaning, and beverage making.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
  • Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Malay is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
