Job description

Design Foundry Sdn Bhd – Puchong New Village

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design concepts, space planning, layouts, material selection, color schemes, and basic elevations.
• Draft and propose layout plans based on design direction from the Senior Interior Designer.
• Prepare mood boards and design references to align with client expectations.

• Create 3D models and renderings for new and ongoing projects.
• Translate conceptual designs into clear visual presentations for internal review and client presentations.
• Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other related 3D software efficiently.

3. Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare detailed drawings such as floor plans, layouts, elevations, and basic construction drawings.
• Assist in ensuring drawings meet industry standards and project requirements.

4. Material Matching & Supplier Coordination

• Assist in material selection and matching according to design concepts.
• Contact suppliers, request quotations, and collect material samples when required.
• Prepare simple material schedules and specifications.

Site Visits & On-site Learning

• Occasionally follow the Senior Interior Designer to project sites.
• Assist with site measurements, site understanding, and on-site learning.
• Gain exposure to site conditions and design implementation.

6. Presentation Preparation

• Prepare mood boards and presentation slides for client meetings.
• Assist in organizing design materials and visuals for presentations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in Interior Design or related field.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Able to create 3D models, basic renderings, and layout drawings independently.
• Willing to learn, support senior team members, and handle multiple tasks.
