A leading tech solutions company in Malaysia is looking for a Technical Support Representative. The role involves providing first-level technical support through various channels, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and educating users on IT best practices. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a basic understanding of computer systems, and a willingness to learn. Optional CompTIA A+ certification is beneficial. Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices
Assist with user onboarding/offboarding and account setup
Document all support interactions in the helpdesk ticketing system
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
Educate users on basic IT procedures and best practices
Support routine system updates and maintenance
Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with Windows/Mac operating systems and common office applications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to follow procedures and work in a team environment
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Optional but beneficial: CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification
