We are seeking a talented Junior HCI/Server Engineer to join our dynamic team at Mesiniaga Berhad. In this contract role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our company's critical infrastructure, including hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and server systems. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our IT environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Install, configure, and maintain HCI and server systems to meet business requirements
• Provide first-level troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to HCI and elevate any issues to senior engineers or vendor(s)
• Provide backup, assist in recovery and disaster recovery procedures on related HCI platforms
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of IT solutions
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect our IT infrastructure
• Continuously monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide technical guidance and support to end‑users as needed
• Participate in the development and documentation of IT processes and procedures as well as any training and certification programs to build deeper expertise in HCI technologies

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 1.5 to 2 years of experience in HCI and server administration, preferably in a similar industry
• Basic knowledge and usage of VMware, Hyper‑V or Sangfor HCI is preferred
• Familiar and skilled in either of these networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, Firewalls and storage concepts
• Proficient in server hardware and software configuration, including operating systems like Windows Server and Linux
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Willingness to learn and stay up‑to‑date with the latest IT trends and technologies
